Burrillville High School
This website boasts a total of nine pages, each of which is teeming with information in an easy to digest, organized manner. I love that this site is focused on self-directed users who may have questions about how to check out books or how to find a book about a topic of interest. There is also a page devoted to a plethora of Databases from EBSCO along with instructions on how to access these using the students’ credentials. This is a wonderful resource for students looking for specific information on a topic such as the Battle of Saratoga or the cultural heritage Mexico City. The presentation of these resources is non-threatening and inviting for students. The links to social media and Pinterest pages are very helpful and providing access to these resources for students and parents alike. The images presented on the site are also very helpful as users are drawn to the color and content rather than just black and white text. The fact that the Media Center’s page is embedded within the school’s site is helpful as well because users can navigate throughout the school’s site with ease from the Media Center’s site. |
